Winners in the cathegories of feature film, documentary film and military film will receive replicas of the Polish military sabres model 1926.
start building the future – wiser and better. But in order to be able to do so, we must – at least from time to time – stop for a while, forget of the everyday rush and hurry – and to start thinking: from where do we go, what is our aim, what kind of luggage do we carry?
These are the questions that usualy ask themselves viewers of the films from our Festival. For the authors of these films – wait these sabres.
In may 2015, the Coordination Committee of the EFFE – Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe informed the organisers of the International Festival of the Historic and Military Films about including our this year edition (the VI edition of the IFH&MF) to the EFFE European Platform. It happened because a Group of Experts and the International Jury of EFFE highly evaluated the artistic level and the values of the Programme of the IFH&MF.
Similiar distinctions were received by projects from 32 European countries, for creativity which encourage the social development, thanks to which Europe becomes the continent better to live in.
From now on, the information about the IFH&MF, together with information concerning other cultural iniciatives belonging to the European Union Project willl be published on a special Platform of the EFFE. Thanks to this, all the bilateral and multilateral coontacts and cooperation between festivals of the continent will bercome easier and all the information about new iniciatives included to the EFFE will become easier and better accessed by the festivals public, artists and their organisations and groups, orcherstras, theatres, dance groups, but also by authorities of different levels, sponsors, private firms and medias. The 32 European projects included to the EFFE will be easily recognizable by this sign.
EFFE was created in the season 2014/2015 as a pilot-project of the European Coimmissiom for the European Festival Platform which acts in the field of cultural iniciatites in the framework of of EFA (European Festivals Federation). It is a kind of organisational umbrella which unites festivals from all Europe (and not only Europe). Poland joined this programme officialy in the season 2015/2016.
